Changing of Lifestyle
Ok, so here's the deal. I'm going to perform a complete overhaul of my current lifestyle. 3 years of sedentary lifestyle in poly isn't working out for me. I wasn't really surprised by the NAPFA test results. I think I am lucky that I can even barely pass most of the test considering that I haven't really been exercising (going to the gym doesn't count, its more like a chatting session) for the past 3 years in poly.
So what's the deal? The goal is to at least restore my physical fitness to pre poly years or even surpass it. This is going to require me to change the way I currently live. This is going to require lots of discipline. Part of the purpose of writing this post is to force myself not to back out of the plan. So the plan is that I'll be going to practise running at school's track at 7.00am on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Sounds simple enough. But the addition of this simple activity is going to change my lifestyle. No longer can I sleep at 1-2am everyday. Reaching school at 7 means leaving home at 6 and that means waking up at 5:15 to change and make breakfast and all that means that I will have to sleep by 9pm the day before to ensure there is 8 hours of sleep. This means that I will not have the time to watch TV, read RSS feeds or do assignments on the night before. Of course FYP and assignments are still the highest priority now so they definitely have to be done before I sleep one way or another, so no more slacking in between classes and every single scrap of time needs to be properly utilised (no more late night works). The only time for leisure is weekends. All these translates into one big word: DISCIPLINE.
Its interesting and it has never occurred to me how just adding a one hour of activity will have such a big impact in the way I live.
